Hot Honey Glazed Meatloaf with Crispy Bacon

This Hot Honey Glazed Meatloaf with Crispy Bacon takes classic comfort food and gives it a sweet, spicy upgrade.
It starts with a simple meatloaf mixture loaded with onion, bell pepper, carrot, and garlic, then gets brushed with a sticky hot honey glaze as it cooks. For this version, I used Milton Honey Farm Murder Hornet Hot Honey, which adds the perfect sweet heat to help this meatloaf stand out. To finish it off, it’s topped with crispy bacon for extra smoky flavor and crunch.
It’s easy, flavorful, and a great way to make meatloaf feel a lot less boring.

- Brush the glaze over the meatloaf and cook a few more minutes, until the meat is cooked through and the glaze looks sticky.
- Top with crispy crumbled bacon before serving.
- Recipe tips
- Don’t overmix the meat or the meatloaf can turn dense.
- Splitting it into 2 smaller loaves helps it cook faster and more evenly.
- Grated carrot helps keep the meatloaf moist.
- Add the bacon at the end so it stays crispy.
- Use a thermometer and cook to 160°F internal temperature.
