Method
- Preheat your air fryer to 385°F.
- In a large bowl, add the ground meat, egg, croutons, salt, pepper, chili powder, thyme, onion, bell pepper, carrot, and garlic.
- Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 2 small loaves.
- Place the loaves in the air fryer basket and lightly spray with oil.
- Air fry for about 15 minutes.
- While the meatloaf cooks, make the glaze by mixing together the ketchup, cumin, Worcestershire sauce, and hot honey.
- Brush the glaze over the meatloaf and cook a few more minutes, until the meat is cooked through and the glaze looks sticky.
- Top with crispy crumbled bacon before serving.
- Recipe tips
- Don’t overmix the meat or the meatloaf can turn dense.
- Splitting it into 2 smaller loaves helps it cook faster and more evenly.
- Grated carrot helps keep the meatloaf moist.
- Add the bacon at the end so it stays crispy.
- Use a thermometer and cook to 160°F internal temperature.
